Erik is 4 months!

Erik is 15lbs 12oz and 25 1/4 inches long! He's gained about 4 1/2lbs (which his dr said 2 months ago "see you in 4lbs) and grew 2 inches in 2 months! He was in 0-3 month clothes till 3 months and a week old then went to 3-6 month clothes. Well he's now fitting into 6-9 month jams just for the length. He needs 3-6 month clothes for the waist.

Kristoffer and his new friend

2 weeks ago Kristoffer asked if he could have his friend JJ over. I told his teacher and she got his friends number so I could contact JJ's mom. Last week we met up at Klineline Pond for a playdate. Kristoffer had a blast but was bummed when it was time to go to gymnastics.

Boys!!

Erik was just a relaxed baby there

After swimming and running for 2 hours he still had gymnastics to do.

A boy and his hamster

Sometimes being a mom sucks! For example having to watch your child cry because their beloved hamster died.
Late Thursday night I noticed Albert #2 had a tumor. (Albert #1 had a stroke and we were able to do the ol switcher roo and tell the 3 1/2 yr old Kristoffer Albee got a haircut). So when Mike got home Friday he explained Albert was sick and needed to go to the hospital. He also told Kristoffer that Albee may not make it.
I took the hamster in to get out to sleep. Life spans on hamsters are 2-3 years and the common causes of death are stroke and tumors. Kristoffer had a couple break downs before I left. When I got home Kristoffer got all excited cause he thought Albert got saved. I told him Albert was too sick and died.
After we explained to him again what happened Mike took Kristoffer to the backyard to burry him. He was good up until they had to cover up the hamster then he lost it again. He kept saying "I want Albee to get better" and "I want him".
I didn't want to get another hamster but it made Kristoffer feel better. So meet Ziggy.

Baby factory......closed!

Today I had my 2 week post op appointment from getting my tubal ligation surgery. My appointment went well. I was cleared to do yoga again and walk the dogs but not to do any intensive workouts until Erik starts sleeping through the night. She doesn't want me fatigued. At first she said no yoga but thought for a minute and said I could. She told me not to rush back into exercise.
I did have 2nd thoughts about going through with the surgery the weekend before. But after a lot of thinking we decided to go through with it for our sanity. Plus if we are meant to have 3 kids I will be that 1% or the opportunity to adopt will be presented to us. We also agreed that if we do change our mines way down the road we could adopt.
In 5 years I can go back to school and get a job I love. Still need to figure out what I want to do but I have some time. We are happy with our 2 boys.

Erik 2 months!

Today Erik had his 2 month check up and shots. He weighs 11lbs 7 oz (27%ile) and his 23 1/4 inches (46%ile)! He is starting to sleep more at night, smiling more and cooing. Kristoffer loves his brother. Kristoffer likes to turn the music on on Erik's swing, give him his binkie and talk to him.
